About Aurangabad

Aurangabad is situated in Cenral Part of Maharashtra, Aurangabad meaning "Built by the Throne" is named after the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. The city is a main tourist hub for all type tourist Inbound/Domestic, Aurangabd surrounded with many historical and cultural monuments, including the Ajanta Caves and Ellora Caves, which are among the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Sightseeing Places:

BibiKaMaqbaraThe city is BibiKaMaqbara, the burial place of Aurangzeb's wife named Rabia-ud-Durrani. It is popularly known as the Mini Taj of the Deccan.

Panchakki (water mill) - The Panchakki is famous for its underground water channel. The channel culminates in a mesmerizing artificial waterfall that looks so bona field and also powers the mill.

Gates in Aurangabad- Aurangabad is also known as the 'City of Gates'. You will get to see some very authenticate designs of the various gates present there.

Quila-E-Ark - Aurangzeb had ordered a palace to be built and named it as the KillaArrak in 1692. It has four or five gateways and a Nagarkhana for the musicians.

Salim Ali Sarovar (lake) -  popularly known as Salim Ali Talab is located near Delhi Gate, opposite to HimayatBagh, Aurangabad. It has been renamed after the great ornithologist and naturalist Salim Ali. It contains a trifling bird Sanctuary and a garden maintained by the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation. Boating facilities are also available for tourists who watching the gushing flow of rivers and lakes.

Grishneshwar/ Grushneshwar Jyotirlinga - Grushneshwar is an oldest Twelve Jyotirlinga hindu pilgrimage temple is located at a village called Verul which is 30 km from Aurangabad main city. It is also close to another tourist attractions of Ellora caves.
