About Agra

Agra is one of the most famous city of northern part of Uttar pradesh. Which is situated on bank of yamuna river, it is a major tourist destination for all type tourist because of its splendid Mughal-era buildings, the very famous Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri, which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Sightseeing Places:

Taj Mahal is the most distinguished and admired buildings in the world which is why it is counted among the Seven Wonders of the World. The Taj Mahal was built by the Mughal king Shah Jahan for his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Taj Mahal is marked by many as the perfect example of Mughal architecture, a style that unites elements from Indian and Persian, Ottoman Turkish architectural styles.

Agra Fort – is also known as Red Fort, was instructed by the great Mughal Emperor Akbar in 1565, and is another of Agra's World Heritage Sites.

Itamad –Ud – Daulah Tombit is also known as Baby Taj. It was built by Nur Jahan. The walls are white marble from Rajasthan coated with semi-precious stones all over it. It is also described as a jewel box.

Akbar’s Tomb, Sikandara Fort- It was the last resting place of the great Mughal Emperor Akbar. The 99 names of Allah have been inscribed on the tomb. The tomb itself is surrounded by a walled enclosure 105 m square. The buildings are constructed from the beautiful deep red sandstone, enhanced with a countenance in white marble.

Jama Masjid in Fatehpur Sikri is a mosque in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India. Many tourists and even celebrities have gone there to make their wishes come true. The mosque was constructed by the Mughal Emperor also referred as 'Shahi Imams' (Royal Imams)

Ram Bagh is the oldest and the most beautiful Mughal Garden in India, it was built by the Emperor Babar in 1528 on the bank of the Yamuna.

Fatehpur Sikri - consists of a number of buildings of significant historical importance. It is another World Heritage Sites. The Mughal Emperor Akbar wanted to make Fatehpur Sikri as his headquarters, so he built a magnificent fort.  Buland Darwaza or 'the sky-high gateway' was built by the great Indian leader Akbar in 1601 CE.
