About Bharatpur & Keoladeo

Bharatpur's Keoladeo National Park (formerly Keoladeo Ghana Bird Sanctuary) is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the world's most important bird breeding and feeding grounds. Over 350 species of birds β€” including the rare Siberian crane β€” visit this 29 sq km wetland, making it a paradise for birdwatchers and nature photographers.

Just 55 km from Agra and 180 km from Delhi, Bharatpur also offers the imposing Lohagarh (Iron Fort) β€” the only Indian fort never conquered by the British β€” and the elegant Deeg Water Palace with its hundreds of fountains. A perfect weekend combining world-class birding with Rajput heritage.
